Summer Tour UK…… and it’s only just begun
Posted in Uncategorized on July 7, 2014
After a fun and successful tour of Australia it was time to head back to the UK!!!! We had such an eventful UK Summer Tour in 2013 we owed it to ourselves to get back to the UK again this summer and keep the musical connection alive in Sivan’s home country of England. So we packed our bags double checked we had our passports and plane tickets and boom! England here we come.. The best deal on flights was via Vietnam so we figured we may as well make a stop over on the way!
We played the River Stage and the Rapture / Truck Store Record store at Cornbury Festival in Oxfordshire. A massive family friendly festival… headlines included Jules Holland and The Gypsy Kings.. we made some new friends and some new fans from all over the UK including Manchester, Brighton and locals of Oxfordshire.
and on to Maverick festival!
After a super eventful week we now have some down time to chill with Sivan’s sister and her husband in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. This week we are looking forward to heading into London to catch up with some old friends, drinking some pints and watching the world cup semi finals… Germany vs Brazil and Holland vs Argentina.. quality football! Is so good to be back in England! May the good time roll on xoxox

Interview with iMusician Digital about being an independent band
The lovely peeps at iMusicianDigital have featured us on their website. They asked us some questions about being an independent band, our obsession with the 60s and 70s, being a married couple, and the new album!
We still love folk music! our version of ‘Fare Thee Well’ (Dink’s Song)
Posted in Uncategorized on March 13, 2014
Last weekend we went to the cinema for the first time in over a year to see the latest Coen brothers film ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’ – which follows a week in the life of a folk singer in New York in 1961. This song was a highlight for us so we came home and recorded our own version. Its a traditional folk song first captured in 1908 when an African American woman called Dink was singing it while washing her mans clothes in the Brazos river, Texas. http://www.theaprilmaze.com
